Randy Jackson, born and raised in Carmi, Illinois, started working for Abshire Oil Company in 1979 where he held a variety of positions over the next 15 years. In that time, he gained valuable experience as rig operator, equipment operator, roustabout and pumper. After a year of truck driving for O’Daniel Trucking, Randy realized his passion was definitely in the oilfield, and in 1995 returned to the industry full time as a pumper & roustabout for Equinox Oil (later becoming Noble Energy). In 2004, Randy transferred to the electrical department for Noble Energy while he attended Frontier Community College where he completed courses in electrical and electro mechanics.
In 2010, Citation Oil and Gas purchased Noble Energy. Randy was promoted to Crossville, Illinois area foreman for Citation where he was responsible for daily production, overseeing slick water fracs, and all well completions / recompletions. Randy was also responsible for tank battery designs, secondary recovery projects, and setting up and calculating cost for maintenance and upgrades on projects.
In 2012, Randy joined Herman L. Loeb LLC as an Area Production Supervisor for the IL Basin covering Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. Randy was responsible for daily production, overseeing well completions, company rig operations, and roustabout teams. Randy worked with the staff to upgrade surface facilities across all field locations, secondary recovery units, and set up and calculated cost for maintenance and upgrades on projects. Randy worked with chemical representatives to control pulling and chemical cost.
In 2015, Randy accepted a job with CountryMark Energy as a Field Operation Manager. While employed with Countrymark, Randy participated in management and supervisory training courses provided through Countrymark. In 2019, Randy was promoted to a Production Superintendent, over Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. Randy worked with supervisors and Foremen on daily production and field operations. Randy also worked on budgeting for each area; calculating the costs on maintenance upgrades of each project.
In 2020, Randy rejoined Herman L. Loeb LLC as Illinois Basin Area Supervisor of Production & Field Operations. Randy oversees all production, roustabouts, technicians, and rig operations for the area.
In his personal time, Randy enjoys spending time with his wife of 41 years, 3 kids and 7 grandchildren. Randy also enjoys playing guitar with family and friends.
